The video of the failed and spectacular landing of a plane in the middle of a storm was relayed on Tuesday on YouTube.

The facts had occurred the day before at Heathrow airport in London (United Kingdom) and the video has already garnered more than 200,000 views.

But at the time of touching the asphalt, a violent gust of wind destabilized the device.

A failed “touch and go”

In the urgency of the situation, the pilot made a reasonable decision: to abandon the landing attempt.

He then went back on the gas to gain altitude after having grazed the tarmac, a technique called “touch and go”.

But during the maneuver, the tail of the plane hit the ground violently.

Fortunately, the incident did not cause any injuries.

After a circle in the sky, the plane returned and finally managed to land.

The pilot had the right reflex: attempting to land the first time with an aircraft unbalanced by the wind could have caused a fatal crash for the crew and passengers.
