Separatism is considering paralyzing the activity of the Parliament until they agree on a formula to try to keep the seat of the CUP deputy,

Pau Juvillà

, disqualified by the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) for refusing to take down yellow ribbons in his office at the city hall of Lerida in 2019.

The Central Electoral Board (JEC) has already ordered the withdrawal of the parliamentary act of the anti-system and the president of the Parliament,

Laura Borràs

, has until Friday to address this claim.

However, the leader of Junts seeks to buy time, which is why this Tuesday, at the meeting of the Catalan Chamber, she has proposed paralyzing all parliamentary activity until she devises a ruse with which to try to shield Juvillà's seat.

The CUP supports the proposal of Borràs and ERC claims to limit it in time, aware of the radical nature of the measure.

Juvillà, also a member of the Parliamentary Board, was unable to participate in the meeting due to a serious health problem, but intends to keep his seat by disobeying the JEC.

In the previous mandate, the president of the Generalitat,

Quim Torra

, also lost his deputy act by order of the JEC.

The then president of the Chamber, Roger Torrent, withdrew Torra's seat after the Supreme Court rejected the precautionary measures presented by the former

president

to stop the decision of this administrative body.

In the case of Juvillà, the Parliament is still waiting for the Supreme Court's response on the precautionary measures so that the CUP deputy can continue in the Chamber until there is a final ruling on his disqualification.
