Dubai residence prepares to participate in 9 innovative projects in GITEX Technology Week 2021
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai is preparing for its participation in the 41st edition of GITEX Technology Week 2021, which will be held from October 17 to 21 at the Dubai World Trade Center.
Dubai Residency, through its participation in the exhibition to be held at the Dubai World Trade Center in Sheikh Saeed Hall in its stand No. S1-H1, which will last for 5 days, revealed the presentation of a package of innovative projects that will be presented at the GITEX World Fair, topped by the golden residency, the unified application, my platforms, and the establishment of paperless Dubai. As well as citizenship and passport services, the “You Are Special” service, the website and Dubai residency services at Expo 2020 Dubai.
His Excellency Lieutenant-General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, said, "We seek to be part of this international event and the largest and most integrated event in the world in the technology sector, to showcase the latest innovations and experimental technologies, in order to support the global digital transformation process."
Al Marri stressed that the department seeks a complete digital transformation of its services and initiatives in line with the strategic thinking of the Dubai government aimed at consolidating the position of the Emirate of Dubai as a smart global city.
Virtual workshops -
The Dubai residence will be held, three virtual workshops, which will accompany the exhibition, enabling the public outside the exhibition to enter to attend the workshops via the link in the bio on the (Instagram) account of the Dubai residence, and the first workshop entitled “Learning the God” revolves around how to acquire practical knowledge To apply machine learning techniques to real-life problems, the second workshop will be entitled “Digital Connectivity in the Government Sector”, and the third workshop will be entitled “Digital Quality of Life”, which will introduce the public to the importance of positive digital values and behaviors and build digital capabilities, during the period from 18 to 20 October 2021 , at 10 am.
