On the evening of Thursday, December 31, only half of the 16 lines of the Paris metro "will operate from 9 p.m. until the end of service between midnight and 1 a.m., with reduced frequencies, and will serve a limited number of stations", said the police headquarters on Wednesday.

The Paris metro will circulate in a very limited manner on the evening of Thursday, December 31, with half of the lines open due to the curfew linked to Covid-19, the Paris police headquarters (PP) announced on Wednesday.

To enforce the curfew, "the police prefect asked the RATP to significantly reduce its public transport offer while ensuring a minimum supply for people with a reason to travel, in particular those who work", indicates the PP in a press release.
