Briarcliff Entertainment has aired a trailer from the US director Brian Vogel's film "The Dissident", which deals with the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The company indicated in its statement attached to the clip via YouTube that it will make it available for show in halls and on demand in late 2020, coinciding with the second anniversary of Khashoggi's killing in October.

Several personalities appeared in the trailer for the film, including Hatice Genghis, who was the fiancée of the late Khashoggi, the prominent Saudi dissident Omar bin Abdulaziz, journalist Wadah Khanfar, and Turkish speakers.

The company explained that the work will reveal hidden secrets in the Khashoggi story, which tells the story of a man who sacrificed everything for freedom of expression, and director Vogel spoke to the Associated Press about the film that he hopes will contribute to achieving justice in the case of the Saudi journalist.

Is there anyone else who felt as sad and broken while sharing the trailer for the movie about the person they were in love with, but they got killed in the most brutal and unusual way.

While Variety magazine art editor Brent Lang confirmed that the film took 8 months to shoot, perhaps because companies were afraid of falling on the wrong side of Saudi Arabia.

Bryan Fogel's Jamal Khashoggi doc #TheDissident entered Sundance as one of the buzziest sales titles.

It took 8 months for a deal, probably because companies were scared of getting on the wrong side of Saudi Arabia.

Activists called for the film to be published as soon as it was shown and promoted, to reveal the details of Khashoggi's murder, hoping that those involved in that crime would receive appropriate punishment.

An advertisement for the film "The Exhibitor", which tells the circumstances of the assassination of the Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi and the activist @ oamaz7

The advertisement is wonderful, it seems that the work is elaborate and will constitute a wonderful propaganda work to describe the situation of the opposition in Saudi Arabia, and to highlight the violations and crimes against the opponents.

One day the whole truth will emerge, its appearance can be delayed but, it cannot be buried, I cannot say that we will enjoy watching because the documentary talks about a person who was killed in a very ugly way in the place that is supposed to be the safest place, so we can prepare for the next facts ... # Exhibitions https: / /t.co/tSsB9ntwNk
