Barely two hours after the rescue service arrived at the scene, the fire was extinguished.
There was fire, embers, high heat and a lot of smoke. Six smoke divers were on site, says the rescue service's management operator.
It did not burn in the church hall itself but in the premises next door, where there is, among other things, a kitchen.
- We will go further and investigate properly where the fire started, says the management operator.
The rescue service will remain for the rest of Saturday for firefighting and control. Remediation will be carried out on the premises.
The police state that the fire was probably caused by a technical fault. They have made a report of fire without suspicion of crime.
- We will not investigate this further, says police spokesperson Monica Bergström.
