According to the diplomatic mission, Rasmussen has lived in the kingdom since 2002, has two minor children from different marriages. For a long time, a woman underwent a course of treatment for cancer.

"At the moment, a Russian citizen who brings up children is forced to work 12 hours a day. The totality of these circumstances, in the opinion of the guardianship authorities, makes it possible to talk about the mother's inability to give enough attention to children, "the message says.

It is noted that by now the issue of the seizure of children has been examined by the court of first instance, the court of second instance is scheduled for September 25 and 30.

"For the embassy, the situation with H. Rasmussen is complicated by the fact that her children are citizens of Denmark (H. Rasmussen herself has dual citizenship), and therefore the instruments of consular protection in relation to minors are very limited," the diplomats explained.

They noted that for the consular department of the embassy it is usual practice to register citizenship for the children of Russian parents, in this case, the possibilities to help them will be much wider.
