"Due to the circumstances and current developments in the situation in the sister republic of Iraq, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on all citizens on Iraqi territory to immediately leave it," the text reads.
Earlier, one death was reported and 11 injured during the protests in Iraq.
Thousands of demonstrators are demanding that the authorities improve the situation with supplying Basra with clean drinking water and electricity.
