According to him, the optimization of the number of FIUs "is connected with the restructuring within the fund."

“With the centralization of processes, including through the development of information technology. We have certain plans, as a rule, these are several thousand people, ”he said.

He noted that the exact number of those to be reduced is currently not defined, since the number of tasks that, as Drozdov indicated, are assigned to the FIU in 2019, is quite serious.

“We are now just completing the work on the“ road map ”precisely on optimizing the fund, which we will approve in the coming month,” he said.

As Drozdov stressed, a plan has now been approved in the fund, which studies the possibility of using the PFR social insurance infrastructure so that “a citizen in a social insurance fund can receive a service” and vice versa.

In his opinion, this will allow citizens “to get the fund’s services within walking distance”, and the fund itself, by centralizing information processing, will reduce the number of personnel at the district level and strengthen the staff at the level of the Russian entity.

Earlier it was reported that the FIU is going to use blockchain technology to track data on labor contracts.
