“Britain regards the Golan Heights as occupied by Israel. Powerful annexation of the territory is prohibited by international law, ”the press service of the British Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The British Foreign Ministry stressed that they did not change their position on this issue.
Earlier, the UN stressed the preservation of the status of the Golan Heights.
The Golan Heights is a disputed territory in the Middle East. Currently, most of it is controlled by Israel, while the smaller, eastern part is controlled by Syria.
