In Britain, the names of suspects in the case of the poisoning of the Violins in Salisbury were named. According to London, the former scout and his daughter were poisoned by two Russians - Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov. Speaking in Parliament, the British Prime Minister Theresa May said that the two men were allegedly officers of the GRU, and the decision to attack the Fiddles, she said, "could be taken at the highest level." Law enforcement agencies published footage from surveillance cameras, which, according to Scotland Yard, portrayed suspected Russian citizens.
