The measurement, tested for six months, concerns the lines 1, 2, 5, 6, 9 and 14 of the metro, but also lines 2, 3a and 3b of the tram. The days are already set: September 14, October 12, November 9, January 11, February 8 and March 7, 2020. On these days, the subways and trams will be in service for 40 hours in a row, from Saturday morning to Sunday evening at half past midnight. However, not all stations on these lines will be open: there will be about 75. The Parisian advance that the stations that allow a match will remain closed because more difficult to secure. The precise list of judgments concerned by the measure is still being created by RATP.

To combine the useful with the pleasant, these Saturdays, the second of each month, were not chosen at random: "The actors of the night were consulted expressed their preference [...] They also prefer openings in the fall and winter, when the cold brakes the urge to go out, "she says. But why limit yourself to one Saturday a month? Because "it is not possible to open the metro 24 hours a day," recalls Valérie Pécresse. Subways and trams at night, but also more Noctiliens

Parallel to this measure, Valerie Pécresse announces also that it will reinforce the number of Noctiliens those nights. These night buses are popular with Parisians who live far from the intramural network, and their attendance jumped by 43% between 2017 and 2018, thanks to a doubling of vehicles in circulation. By facilitating the transport of the Parisians at night, the president of the region wants to "give back a pep's 'to the nightlife" Paris, while tourism professionals and trade "have suffered greatly from the crisis of' yellow vests ".
