One out of every three women working in the United Nations has been sexually harassed during work, according to a study published Tuesday.

According to a study conducted last November involving United Nations staff prepared by researchers at Deloat Consulting Services commissioned by the United Nations, about one in every five of the five respondents surveyed felt that during the past two years he had felt insulted by hearing stories or Sexual jokes.

It is noteworthy that the number of employees in the United Nations worldwide has about 44 thousand employees, including workers in sub-organizations and agencies working in the service of the United Nations.

The United Nations does not enjoy the trust of its staff
The Secretary-General of the Organization, Antonio Guterich, said that the "relative decline" in the number of participants in the study indicated that the United Nations still did not trust its staff and gave them "an impression of inaction and failure to take responsibility for their staff".

The United Nations announced early last year 2018 to take action to help its staff, after the voices of staff complaining of abuse, including the establishment of a hotline to receive complaints.
