After the House of Ifta occupied a large area of blood bath, which was triggered by the successive executions in Egypt, it returned to occupy another area of public interest in a new fatwa related this time with deadly games.

This time, after signing the death sentence of 42 citizens in recent years, the mufti issued a new fatwa demanding the criminalization and banning of MOMO, which news reports say is pushing children to commit suicide and issued warnings in Britain.

This was not the first time that the Egyptian Fatwa House issued an opinion and comment on the Games. In April 2018, the Blue Whale was banned after reports that it helped to commit suicide to many of its users in Egypt and the world.

The game uses the character of Momo, which is similar to the dolls, with wide and deep eyes and a terrifying smile to scare the children, asking them to communicate with her through Wattsab.

They then scare them with violent images and push them to harm themselves - according to news reports - without comment from the makers of the game on those charges.

"We warn against participation in the game called Momo MOMO, and those who have been drawn to participate in it should hurry out of it," Dar al-Ifta said in a statement. And called on the concerned parties to criminalize this game, and prevent it by all possible means.

The messages accompanying the picture are said to encourage children either to do harm to their loved ones, to put themselves in dangerous situations, or even to commit suicide.

She pointed out that many schools in the UK issued warnings - which had been directed to parents - about Momo's challenge, as well as the publications that swept social media on the challenge.

The statement, issued on its official Facebook page, drew thousands of people to express their concern about the game.
