He said this during a meeting of the OSCE post-soviet, RIA Novosti reports.

Lukashevich said that from 2014 to 2016 over 40 conquests of the UOC parishes were carried out in Ukraine. At the same time, since the end of 2018, the number of provocations against the UOC has increased dramatically, the permanent representative of Russia said.

He added that the UOC and its clergy in Ukraine are being intimidated by attacks from right-wing radical groups.

“We call on the OSCE to influence Kiev, not to allow the authorities to bring the situation to bloody religious violence. As is known, the SMM mandate includes not only monitoring, but also support for human rights and fundamental freedoms. We expect the SMM to pay close attention to the situation around the UOC, ”Lukashevich called.

In November, Russia called on the OSCE SMM to strengthen monitoring in the Donbas.
