The Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the accusations by the UAE foreign minister against Iran against the members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation are mere lies, recommending the UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed to pay attention to what he called the crimes of Abu Dhabi in Yemen instead of accusing others.

She added that the UAE is trying to cover up its failed policies towards Islamic countries.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry described the policies of the UAE in the region as destructive, weakening the Organization of Islamic Action, according to the statement.

The UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed accused Iran of continuing its interference in the affairs of States and support terrorism, and continue to occupy the islands of Greater Tunb and Lesser Tunb and Abu Musa.

Addressing the ministerial meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in Abu Dhabi, he called on Iran to stop supporting groups that fuel sectarian and sectarian conflicts in the region and to stop supporting, funding and arming terrorist organizations.

Al-Jazeera correspondent in Tehran, Abdul Qadir Fayez, said Tehran's tone was clear and that Iran had sent a smaller delegation from foreign ministers.
