This was reported in the military council of the city.
"Our military were able to destroy an unidentified terrorist with an explosive device who attempted to escape while trying to detain when it became known about (attempting - RT ) to commit a terrorist attack," RIA Novosti quotes.
The incident occurred in the west of Manbij, added to the council.
Earlier in Manbidge they announced the arrest of militants who were planning new attacks.
