At around 6:40 am on Friday, Fukuoka City had a report of 119 on the Hakozaki campus of Hakozaki 6-chome, Higashi-ku, "There was an explosion sound from the building and smoke was visible." A part of the three-story building of the law department in the civil engineering district of the campus was burned out, and around 8:30 am, a burned dead body of unknown sex was found from the first floor part.
According to the Fukuoka municipal fire department, 18 fire trucks and other vehicles were dispatched to extinguish the fire, and the fire was extinguished around 9:30 in the morning.
