“I believe that the creation of this registry has matured a long time ago, in many countries such systems operate. If this is done through the public services portal, we will receive normal and official information for those people who buy and sell their cars, ”he said.

Kanaev noted that the proposal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is fully justified and reasonable, and there is absolutely enough data that car owners can get from the registry.

“Citizens will be able to see information about the accident, whether the car was pledged, and so on. This is a very good innovation, because at the moment there are many illegal sites and applications that give out not entirely legal information, down to where the person parked the car and with whom he was at that moment. This is a hotbed of crime, ”the expert concluded.

Earlier, the Interior Ministry proposed to create a unified state register of cars, access to which will be available to all Russians.

It is assumed that anyone will be able to request a free statement through the public services portal and get information about VIN, registration plate, year of issue, environmental class, car engine power, as well as the number of owners and when they owned this machine.
