Avakov told how many police officers involved in the presidential elections in Ukraine

According to him, on the day of the presidential election more than 130 thousand policemen will protect public safety.

“131 thousand people from the Ministry of Internal Affairs will ensure public safety during the elections. I hope that the SBU will help us, ”the Interior Ministry’s press service quoted him as saying.

At the same time, he added that this is 30 thousand employees less than in 2014, but this will not prevent “protecting the electoral process”.

Earlier, Avakov said that the Interior Ministry received almost 2 thousand reports of violations during the election campaign in Ukraine.
