In Algeria, the unpublished protests of Friday, March 1 against a fifth term of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika headlines almost all the press this Saturday morning. While the authorities did not comment on the demonstrations, even though the Minister of the Interior went to the bedside, the Algerian newspapers called on the regime to listen to the protesters.

The photo covers all the one. The crowd, huge, in downtown Algiers, signs, flags and cell phones brandished at arm's length. The Arabic-language daily El Khabar writes, " It's time for the regime to listen ", pointing out that hundreds of thousands of Algerians have mobilized against the 5th mandate.

For El Watan newspaper, Friday's protests are a " lesson in peaceful mobilization ". On the front page of the French-language daily newspaper, a young woman, masked on her face, holds a flag with one hand and raises the other fist in the sky. In red letter, it is written: " Go away ". In its editorial, the newspaper speaks of second independence, vis-à-vis " those who have erected since 1962 as true guardians of the people ."

The caricaturist of the newspaper Liberte , Dilem, has chosen to wish happy birthday to President Abdelaziz Bouteflika who is now 82 years old. A man, the people, hands him a broom, symbol of departure.

The information website Huffington Post Algeria estimates that in the aftermath of the demonstrations, the people are standing and the power groggy. The editor writes: " The real question today is whether the power decides to hear this message or ignore it. The first clues look much more towards this second hypothesis ".
