The UAE Red Crescent Authority has completed its arrangements to implement a number of health projects for the rehabilitation of the medical sector in Hadramout Governorate in Yemen. The rehabilitation, maintenance and furnishing of seven hospitals and providing them with medicines, financed by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, worth 66 million and 200 thousand dirhams, Reconstruction, rehabilitation of vital sectors and development of infrastructure in Yemen.

The Authority signed an agreement with Hadramout governorate to cooperate and coordinate the implementation of health projects in a way that meets the needs of the governorate and contributes to improving medical services in a number of directorates. The agreement was recently signed in Mukalla city in the presence of the Secretary General of the Red Crescent Society, Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi, And signed by the Commission Deputy Secretary General for Development and International Cooperation Fahd Abdulrahman bin Sultan, and on the Yemeni side of Hadramout Governor, Major General Faraj Salmin Al-Bassani.

The UAE plays a pivotal role in rehabilitating the health sector in Yemen thanks to initiatives and support from the leadership and follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, President of the Red Crescent Authority. To improve the health conditions of the brothers there, by supporting and developing the health sector in a number of Yemeni governorates, and providing direct support and care for this vital sector.

He stressed that the Authority is keeping pace with the processes of the liberation of the provinces with more humanitarian development assistance, to support the stability of its population, and help them to restore their activity and vitality, in addition to contributing to the return of displaced persons to their areas of origin, after they abandoned because of the escalation of events there.

Al-Falahi said that the project of developing the medical sector in Hadramout governorate is only a link in the series of pioneering development projects carried out by the Authority on the Yemeni arena. He pointed out that the Authority is aware of the challenges facing the health sector in Yemen due to the current conditions there, Which made a difference in the efforts of medical care directed to the Yemeni brothers.

He stressed the commitment of the Red Crescent to complete the development projects in the field of health in Hadramout in a timely manner, and the speed required to improve medical services directed to the people of the province, and neighboring.

For his part, Salem Khalifa Al-Ghafli said that the UAE is continuing to enhance the development and reconstruction processes in the Yemeni governorates under the direction and support of its leadership. He said that the State is continuing its efforts to rehabilitate the infrastructure affected by the events in Yemen, especially in the health field. In Yemen. "We will spare no effort to provide everything that would limit the repercussions of events and contribute to the restoration of life in Yemen to better than it was before the crisis," he said.

The Red Crescent Authority recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, under which the Fund will fund the health projects implemented by the Authority in Hadramout, which serve a large number of the population, in addition to providing medical equipment and equipment for hospitals and medical centers in the governorate.

The rehabilitation of the health sector in Hadramout governorate includes three main projects. The first project includes the rehabilitation and completion of the construction and maintenance of seven hospitals to serve the residents of the governorate and surrounding areas. In addition to importing medical equipment and medical equipment, The Blood Bank, the Ibn Sina Hospital, the Industrial Center in Mukalla, the Qusayr Medical Clinic and the Gail Bawazir General Hospital.

The second project includes the reconstruction and development of a maternity and childhood hospital in Hadramout, with a capacity of 150 beds, as well as maintenance, construction and electricity. In addition, the hospital will be provided with an electric generator.

The third project involves the purchase of medicines for hospitals and health centers in Hadramout, Sahel and Wadi.

On the other hand, the UAE Red Crescent Society continues its humanitarian efforts to deliver food aid to the people of the two departments of Hadhramout, Mudaraba and Ras Al-Ara in Lahj governorate as part of its efforts to improve their living conditions.

In this regard, 160 tons of 2,000 food baskets were distributed to the people of the two districts, benefiting 14,000 poor families.

In the province of Abyan, the UAE Red Crescent Authority inaugurated the Azzan educational and educational complex in Al-Wadeeh district after it was renovated and furnished to provide a suitable learning environment for 1200 students living in the Azzan area and the surrounding villages.

The Commission has rehabilitated 12 classrooms and furnished them entirely at Ezzan Primary School, which is attended by 800 students, in addition to the Azzan Secondary School, where 400 students study, while the school bags were distributed to students.

The director general of the Directorate of Al-Wadeea, Qasim Ebadi, described the UAE Red Crescent's entry into its humanitarian initiatives and development projects as a good gesture. He thanked the Red Crescent for the lack of services and needed humanitarian support.

In turn, the Director of Education in the Directorate, Nasser Ahmed Saleh, the fingerprints of the UAE Red Crescent, which appear clear today in the field of education.

For his part, the director of the Azzan educational and educational complex Abu Bakr al-Sayed, said that the rehabilitation of the Red Crescent of the complex contributed to the provision of an educational environment suitable for students and teachers.

In the West Coast, the UAE Red Crescent Authority opened yesterday the health center in Al-Qataba district of the Al-Khokha Directorate, after rehabilitation and rehabilitation, as part of the ongoing support of the Authority for the health sector in the villages and areas of the West Coast and all the liberated governorates of Yemen.
