Pop star Ariana Grande has been embarrassed with a tattoo breakdown. The US singer actually wanted to get the name of her hit single "7 Rings" tattooed on her palm with Japanese characters - but the word "shichirin" came out, a small Japanese charcoal grill, as the "Guardian" reported.

The 25-year-old had published a photo with the tattoo on her hand on Instagram. Fans made Grande, a vegan, quickly aware of the error. Meanwhile, the singer's Instagram post has been deleted. On Twitter, Internet users reacted with ridicule to the mistake.

In later-deleted tweets, Grande reported the mishap according to reports; it lacks a symbol. But she emphasized that the tattoo would not last long anyway - the skin on the palm of the hand would grow faster, tattoos would be blurred.

Grandes hit "7 Rings" has been viewed more than 100 million times on YouTube and stormed to the top of the US charts.
