According to the Ministry of Defense, the U.S. military will search for one remaining crew member and will soon withdraw key parts of the aircraft necessary to determine the cause.

Regarding this accident, the 7th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters has requested the U.S. military to cooperate in the investigation to determine the cause of the accident, but the consent of the U.S. side is required based on the Japan-U.S. Status of Forces Agreement when verifying the aircraft, etc., and if the consent is not obtained, it will be difficult for the Japan side to clarify the cause.
