At JR Oyama Station in Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture, a limited sale was held at the station to allow people to enjoy the taste of the standing soba restaurant that has been popular for 30 years until last year.

For about 30 years, JR Oyama Station has been popular with many people for a stand-up soba restaurant that has been operating on the station platform, but it sadly closed in January last year due to the aging of the facility and sluggish sales due to the Corona disaster.

In order to taste this "nostalgic station soba" again at this time of year near New Year's Eve, it was sold at the concourse inside the ticket gate of Oyama Station for two days on the 15th and 16th.

On the 2th, there was a line of more than 16 people before the start of sales at 11 am, and some people lined up from 20 am.

In addition to displaying the ticket vending machines and signboards that were used in the past, there was also a tasting of soba sauce, and people who gathered enjoyed the nostalgic aroma of dashi.

A woman in her 30s from Oyama City said, "I was really happy because I used to go to the restaurant all the time when I was a student.

Makiko Sekine of JR East Japan's Oyama Sales Management Center, which organized the event, said, "We want people to enjoy the area near the station at Oyama Station at home and feel the nostalgic taste."
