It was estimated that more than 41,<> junior high school students have a "tendency to not go to school," such as spending time in the infirmary even if they go to school, and the NPO that surveyed them pointed out the importance of support from an early stage.

The survey was conducted online from October to November by a non-profit organization that supports children who do not go to school, and received responses from 10,11 junior high school students nationwide.

According to the report, 5953 students were absent from school for more than 30 days a year, excluding illnesses, which is defined by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports,
Science and Technology as "truancy," or 277.4% of the total.

On the other hand, a total of 7 students, or 30.1% of the total, answered that they had been absent for more than one week in a row, although it was less than 785 days, or that they went to the infirmary or the principal's office but did not go to the classroom,
or that they spent time in the classroom but did not want to go to school every day in their hearts.

The NPO considers this situation to be a "truancy trend" and estimates that it is more than 13,2 junior high school students.

This is 41,2018 more than the survey conducted by the Japan Foundation in 8 using the same method.

Kumi Imamura, CEO of the NPO Katariba, which conducted the survey, said, "If we can provide support at the stage before truancy occurs, the hurdles are completely different.
