In a long interview with Paris Match, Jade and Joy Hallyday opened up about their adoption in Vietnam, the loss of their father Johnny and the battle over his legacy. This media sequence had a profound impact on the two young women, who still say they have a grudge against David and Laura.

No forgiveness granted to David and Laura. Three years after the battle over Johnny's inheritance ended, his daughters Jade and Joy still hold a grudge against David and Laura, who they believe are responsible for dividing the family.

"They took us to court when we didn't do anything to them"

"In St. Barths, David and Laura made beautiful promises, assuring us that they would always be there (...) No sooner had they left than we never heard from them directly. We would have liked to share moments with our older brother and sister to talk about our father rather than see them take us to court when we didn't do anything to them," said the eldest Jade Hallyday in the columns of Paris Match.

In a will drawn up in the United States in 2014, Johnny bequeathed his entire fortune to his widow, Jade and Joy, leaving nothing to his elders. Laeticia and Laura finally came to an agreement in 2020. But for Jade and Joy, the damage is done. "I try not to think about it anymore (...) I believe they can never be forgiven. They hurt us," Jade told Paris Match. Joy, for her part, says she has "moved on" but will "never forget" what David and Laura did to her. The Hallyday clan was never reformed...
