The "Core Labor Federation," which is made up of labor unions in the steel, shipbuilding, and other industries, presented a draft policy demanding a wage increase of 3,1 yen or more per month, more than three times the amount of the base wage increase, at next year's spring labor negotiations. Labor unions in other industries have also made a series of demands that have been further strengthened from the level of the Spring Labor Conference, and the momentum for wage increases is increasing.

The "Core Workers' Federation" is an industry-specific labor union with a total of about 370 labor unions in industries such as steel, heavy industry, and shipbuilding.

On the 7th, a discussion meeting was held, and a draft policy was presented to demand a wage increase of 1,2000 yen or more per month as an equivalent to the base increase in the spring wage negotiations next year.

This is more than three times the monthly fee of 3500,3 yen or more demanded at the Spring Labor Conference, and is a high level of more than 1,2 yen per month indicated by the "Metal Workers' Association" of which it is a member.

Other industrial labor unions have also made a series of demands that have been further strengthened from the level of the previous year, and the momentum for wage increases is building ahead of next year's spring labor negotiations.

As prices continue to soar, the Core Labor Federation aims to maintain the livelihoods of workers through wage improvements, as well as to secure and retain human resources in the manufacturing industry, which is facing labor shortages.

The draft policy will be discussed with union members and will be finalized at the Central Committee meeting in February next year.
