Yanji, December 12 (ZXN) -- On December 6, the Department of Chinese of Peking University and the Cultural Resources Research Center of Peking University held a seminar in Yanji with the theme of "Live Broadcast Helps the Innovative Development of Local Literary and Art Troupes". At the meeting, Jin Fei, founding president of the Beijing Opera Critics Association, observed that the actors of the local art troupe found their own artistic "rivers and lakes" through live broadcasts, which marked an innovative leap forward in the field of art.

Jin Fei believes that the change of media forms has created a new "rivers and lakes" of performing arts—a thriving art market and cultural space. He pointed out that since the beginning of the new century, local literary and art troupes have moved toward marketization against the background of transforming into enterprises and restructuring their systems. But this transition has also brought challenges: the decline in financial support has led to a brain drain and a shrinking performance market. At the same time, live streaming, as an emerging form of acting, has provided a new stage for many actors to showcase their talents, and has brought about an increase in the number of viewers and income.

Take Baker, a young dancer from the Yanbian Song and Dance Troupe, for example, whose success in the live broadcast shows this trend. On the traditional stage, Baker "stands out from the crowd" because of his lack of height. But through the live stream, he was able to showcase his dancing talent and amassed a large following within a few months. Recently, he was also selected as the lead dancer for the Lotus Award, which is a temple for every dancer.

Jin Fei emphasized that in the face of this emerging "rivers and lakes", actors and literary and artistic workers should actively adapt to and observe this change. Through the metaphor of making dumplings, he vividly describes the current state of the literary and artistic world: new media such as live streaming have opened up a new stage ("dumpling skin"), while cultural content ("filling") is still being enriched and improved. He called on the audience and artists to look forward to and witness the development of this process.

In addition, Jin Fei also appealed to the general public, emphasizing the importance of renewing the understanding of cultural change. In particular, he mentioned that it is necessary to recognize the importance of tipping culture in live streaming to art consumption and cultural dissemination. In his opinion, the reward expresses the audience's recognition of the actor's artistic performance.

Finally, Jin Fei emphasized that in the era of live broadcasting, artistic innovation requires the joint efforts and joint efforts of the art world, academia and other parties. (ENDS)
