The company has acknowledged that the wheels may have been inadequately inspected, and the police will take a closer look.

On the 1st of this month, on the Hachinohe Expressway in Hachinohe City, two tires on the left side of the rear wheel came off from a moving large truck and collided with a man who was working on the side of the road, killing him, and another man who was doing the same work was also slightly injured.

In this accident, the police began searching at around
2 a.m. on the 6th on suspicion of negligent driving manslaughter at two locations: the head office of "Mori Transport", a transport company in Aomori City that owns the truck, and
the Iwate sales office where the truck driver works.

According to the company, the 9-year-old driver who was driving the truck explained, 'When I slowed down to match the car in front, the lamp indicating the danger of skidding came on.'

The police will investigate whether the wheels and nuts required by law were properly inspected.

In this accident, the Tohoku Transport Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism also conducted an audit of the Iwate sales office on the 2th based on the Freight Vehicle Transportation Business Act, and examined whether the wheels were inspected and the driver's work management was properly carried out.
