To coincide with Disability Week, which began on December 12, the "Human Rights of Persons with Disabilities 3" is being held, in which lawyers provide free consultations from people with disabilities and their families.

Every year, the three bar associations in Tokyo hold consultation sessions to coincide with Disability Week, in which lawyers provide free consultations to people with disabilities and their families by phone or fax.

In the morning, there was a consultation that "I have a visual impairment and continue to be verbally abused by my boss," and the lawyer replied, "There is a way for a lawyer to be present and discuss with the boss, and in the end, the problem can be solved in court."

Due to the revision of the Act on the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities, from April 3, private businesses will also be obliged to make "reasonable accommodations" to take necessary measures when they are requested by persons with disabilities.

For this reason, the consultation meeting also responds to consultations on the business side, such as "how to deal with people with disabilities."

One of the people who responded to the consultation, Takeshi Fujioka, said, "If you have any problems, please feel free to consult with us."

Consultations will be accepted until 1 p.m. on the 6th, ▽ telephone 4-03-3591 ▽
