Li Bai's classic poem "Early White Emperor City" gave way to the White Emperor City in Fengjie County, Chongqing City, which became famous all over the world. Recently, after the evaluation and approval of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the White Emperor City started a six-month restoration of inscription cultural relics for the first time.
Baidi City is located on Baidi Mountain, the starting point of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, because of the steep terrain, it is often a place where soldiers of all dynasties must fight. According to historical records, the White Emperor City was built by Gongsun Shu, who seized Shu in the late Western Han Dynasty. During the Three Kingdoms period, Liu Bei, who was defeated and retreated, was alone in Zhuge Liang here. Historically, the famous poets Li Bai, Du Fu, Bai Juyi, Liu Yuxi, Su Shi, etc. have all visited the White Emperor City, leaving a large number of classic poems.
There are many poems and inscriptions in the White Emperor City, which are divided into two stele forests in the east and west, and there are more than 70 calligraphy and painting inscriptions on display, all of which are carved with high-quality Three Gorges stones, among which the Sui Dynasty inscriptions have a history of more than 1400,56 years. There are <> stone inscriptions to be repaired this time, and due to the influence of man-made damage and environmental factors, the inscriptions have been diseased.
