According to reports, in 3, blind artists from Zuoquan County, Xiangyuan County, and Wuxiang County jointly established the Taihang Anti-Japanese Blind Propaganda Team, and they entered enemy-occupied areas and Japanese artillery towers to publicize anti-Japanese policies, collect intelligence, and persuade traitors to be reformed. Later, propaganda teams for the blind were set up in various counties, and in different historical periods, they played an important role in publicizing the party's principles and policies and entertaining the people. The blind propaganda team is active in the front line all year round, serving the rural areas during the slack period, and performing more than 1938 performances every year, which is rare among various art groups. Over the years, the blind artists have passed on their teachings, and generations of blind artists have emerged, which have been welcomed by the farmers of Taihang Mountain.

In 2003, Professor Tian Qing, a well-known music scholar, brought the Zuoquan Blind Propaganda Team to Beijing to perform, which attracted the attention of all walks of life, and the Zuoquan Blind Propaganda Team has achieved fruitful results in the promotion of intangible cultural heritage and the cause of the disabled.
