China News Service Hangzhou, November 11 (Zhang Yuhuan, Guo Tianqi) On the evening of November 6, as the cold air hit the Yangtze River Delta region, heavy rain or torrential rain occurred in many places, and the temperature "plummeted overnight". According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, the Yangtze River Delta region will continue to be affected by cold air in the future, and the minimum temperature in many places will fall to single digits.

Under the strong influence of the subtropical high, the temperature in the Yangtze River Delta region has continued to rise since November. On November 11, the highest temperature in Hangzhou reached 11.5°C, breaking the record of the highest temperature on the same day in local history and the highest temperature in early November. In the past period, there have also been interesting scenes in Hangzhou's shopping malls: due to the hot weather, down jackets and coats that should have been popular in this season have been "left out", thin coats have become "mainstream", and many people have even bought summer clothes such as short sleeves and short skirts.

Early in the morning of November 11, under the influence of cold air, the temperature in many places in the Yangtze River Delta plummeted. According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, at 6 o'clock on November 11 compared with 6 o'clock on November 5, the central and south-central parts of Anhui, central and north-central Jiangsu and other places cooled down by 11 °C ~ 5 °C, and the local temperature dropped by more than 5 °C, and some of the above areas were accompanied by 6 ~ 12 and 14 ~ 7 gusts in local areas. In addition, heavy rain or torrential rain also occurred in parts of northwest Zhejiang, Anhui, and northern Jiangsu. In many places in the Yangtze River Delta, pedestrians on the street have also turned out sweaters, coats and other thick clothes that "press the bottom of the box" to resist the cold air.

Affected by the strong cold air, the Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that from 11 o'clock on November 6 to 8 o'clock on November 11, most areas in the eastern part of Huanghuai, eastern and southern Jianghuai, and eastern Jiangnan will be cooled by 7 °C ~ 20 °C, and there will be 6 ~ 8 northerly winds in the north of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with gusts of 4 ~ 6, and local up to 7.

In the next few days, the Yangtze River Delta region will continue to be affected by cold air, with continuous rain and cooling, and the minimum temperature in Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai and other places will fall to single digits. As the "autumn tiger" no longer wields its power, the cold air will become the "dominant player" for a period of time in the future, and the day when people will wear thick winter clothes is also closer.
