The Blue Book combed and analyzed the development of social organizations in 2022, and compared with the number of social organizations in the east and west in 2022, the number of social organizations in the eastern coastal region still maintained a leading position among the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. Compared with other regions along the eastern coast, traditionally developed areas such as Beijing and Shanghai still have a lot of room for development due to factors such as geographical area and population. In 2022, there will be 4346,4295 social organizations in Beijing and <>,<> in Shanghai, which still has great development potential compared with developed eastern coastal areas such as Guangdong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang.

According to the Blue Book, social organizations, as an important force to promote the improvement of the scientific and technological innovation system, undertake a number of functions such as carrying out innovative professional services, linking innovation resources, and compiling innovation networks, and will play an increasingly important role in strengthening the main position of enterprises in scientific and technological innovation, improving the level of transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, and creating an open innovation ecology.

To this end, the Blue Book believes that it is necessary to further stimulate the vitality of social organizations from multiple dimensions such as party building guidance, expanding participation space, talent team building, professional ability improvement, and strengthening evaluation and incentives, and promote them to play a more active role in promoting high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-reliance.
