Pierre Arditi is doing better! A month after his vagal discomfort, the 78-year-old actor will return to the stage to perform the play "Lapin" alongside Muriel Robin. He will then take time to rest as soon as the performances are over, in January 2024.

A month after suffering from vagal discomfort on the stage of the Edouard VII theatre, Pierre Arditi is about to make his comeback on stage alongside Muriel Robin for their play Lapin.

"I only rest when I'm playing"

"I've had enough rest like this. We're fed up now. I'm going to have all of death to rest, I don't want to do it before. The time has not come. I only really rest when I'm playing. I'm going to continue to rest by being a clown," the actor told BFMTV.

"I'm no longer a partridge of the year"

Pierre Arditi had tried to return to the stage only a week after his vagal discomfort. Too tired to perform the performances, he had resigned himself to taking a longer break. A month into his recovery, the 78-year-old actor finally feels ready to act. However, his health problems have made him aware of his limitations.

"I'm no longer a partridge of the year. I'm going to have to accept the idea that I'm also tired," he told BFMTV. "Above all, it's a warning sign. I'm made to understand that at some point, I can't have as strong an activity as I did when I was 25 or even 40. I'm going to have almost double that."

A writing project in progress

The actor will therefore resume his activity while taking it easy. "It doesn't mean I'm going to stop doing my job, but with a little less intensity. Fate tells me that now I have to be a little more economical with my energy," he said. "I'm going to put the pedal to the metal," he also told Le Parisien.

Pierre Arditi will play Lapin until January 2024, and then will take some time to rest. His other play, with Ludmila Mikaël, has been "postponed for several months". In the meantime, Pierre Arditi will also be able to continue his writing project. "I'm going to rest, I'm writing. On life, mine in particular," he told Le Parisien. A way to announce the release of his memoirs?
