Three years ago, the lawyer of the defendant accused of murdering a man he knew in Miyazaki City met and revealed that he had filed a complaint with the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor's Office on suspicion that the police had falsified the data recorded on the SD card and destroyed evidence in favor of the defendant. The Miyazaki Prefectural Police Headquarters commented, "We are not aware of the contents of the press conference, but there is no fact of falsification."

The defendant, Yoshiharu Kutsune, who filed the complaint, is accused of murder for killing a 3-year-old man he knew by stabbing him in the chest with a kitchen knife in Miyazaki City three years ago.

According to the indictment, the defendant claimed legitimate defense, such as "I stuck out a kitchen knife because the victim attacked me with a knife," and requested that the data of the photo taken of Nata be disclosed in the "pre-trial arrangement procedure" to organize evidence.

After that, when we asked a specialist to analyze the SD card on which the data of the disclosed photos was recorded, it was found that some photos were suspected of being missing from the data on the number of shots.

For this reason, the defendant filed a complaint with the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor's Office on suspicion of destroying evidence, saying that "there is a suspicion that the police are hiding evidence in favor of the defendant."

Lawyer Tomohiro Kurohara, who attended the press conference, said, "Evidence must not be concealed with a certain intention."

In an interview with NHK, the Miyazaki Prefectural Police said that they were not aware of the contents of the complaint and the press conference, but that "in accordance with the guidelines of the National Police Agency, we use an SD card that cannot be tampered with, and there is no fact of tampering."
