Urumqi, November 11 (Tao Lianke, Deng Dihong) "DNA" is a mysterious and unique word, but for forensic doctor Li Hengli, she has walked steadily and confidently on this road of deciphering the "death code" to seek the truth of evidence. "I like this profession and I am good at research, and the more I work, the more I feel that it is suitable for this job."

When I first saw Li Hengli, she was quiet and indifferent, shy and introverted. During the conversation with reporters, Li Hengli opened the topic of engaging in forensic medicine, and she was not good at talking, and she suddenly gushed endlessly, recalling the experience of cracking cases again and again, Li Hengli could not hide her inner excitement.

After graduating from Hebei Medical University, Li Hengli has always dreamed of being a people's policeman, and after graduation, she worked in a hospital in Urumqi for half a year. "I was very excited, I felt like I had already achieved half of my dream, and the remaining half was all on my own."

In January 2012, due to work needs, Li Hengli was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Brigade of the Kuqa County Public Security Bureau as a forensic doctor. "I arranged a scene on the second day of my arrival, although it was the first contact I was not afraid, and I still completed the dissection work smoothly, and the leader looked very spicy and affirmed my first work." Li Hengli said.

At the beginning of 2012, Li Hengli was sent to the Criminal Investigation Corps of the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department to study, and in September 2013, Li Hengli was sent to the Criminal Investigation Technology Department of the Ministry of Public Security to continue her studies to learn the theory of DNA technology and difficult samples.

With the accumulation of learning and experience again and again, Li Hengli has grown from a simple forensic doctor to an all-rounder in criminal investigation technology. "DNA is a powerful evidence to solve the case, for me, in addition to rigor, I need to be more careful, and I don't give up any possibility."

"In recent years, our technical means have become more refined and accurate, and the lockdown of suspects can basically reach 100%. In 2019, we cracked a homicide case, which was the first 12-year backlog case in Kuqa that we successfully solved through family comparison. Now, as long as we can find and extract valuable biological samples on site, they can basically be solved through forensic physical evidence examination and identification. Li Hengli said.

In 2019, she repeatedly evaluated the biological samples and physical evidence of more than <> historical backlogs, inspected and compared them one by one, and successfully cracked three backlog cases.

In her work, Li Hengli led DNA technicians to solve serial cases based on small cases, focusing on theft and robbery cases, and successfully cracked a series of cases such as theft of livestock and theft of vehicle three-way catalysts by extracting, testing and comparing trace biological evidence.

For more than ten years in forensics, Li Hengli has been running around at work most of the time, and the child only knows that his mother is very busy, and he doesn't know what his mother is doing. "My children never knew what I was doing, both children were very sensible, and I didn't have to worry about it, I just wanted to do a good job. Recently, by chance, my child saw my work in a circle of friends, and the child said Mom, you are great,"

In the "Reunion Operation" of the Ministry of Public Security, she led the staff of the technical room to clean up and investigate more than 100 pieces of information on suspected missing persons such as lost and abducted over the years, and conducted a return visit to key clues, and traveled to Qingyuan, Guangdong, Yucheng, Henan and other places for sampling and investigation, and made full use of the DNA database comparison function to find long-lost relatives for more than 30 families.

In October 2022, in the blind test assessment held by the Ministry of Public Security, the DNA Laboratory of the Kuqa Public Security Bureau obtained a satisfactory score in the blind test of the DNA major of the Ministry of Public Security; In 10, the Technical Office of the Criminal Investigation Brigade of the Kuqa Public Security Bureau won the title of National Demonstration Technology Room.
