Comments by social media activists on Jordan's way of delivering aid to the Gaza Strip ranged from those who considered it a challenge to the Israeli occupation to those who believed that the Palestinians of the Strip need more than aid in light of the genocide of children in the Strip.

Jordan's King Abdullah II announced earlier, "Praise be to God, the air force of our armed forces was able at midnight to air urgent medical and medical aid to the Jordanian field hospital in the Gaza Strip. This is our duty to help the wounded and injured suffering as a result of the war on Gaza. Jordan will remain the supporter, supporter and closest to the Palestinian brothers."

The Jordan News Agency broadcast videos of the airdrop, where 3 boxes were shipped by a giant US-made Jordanian military aircraft "Lockheed C-130 Hercules", and then dropped over the Jordanian field hospital in the Gaza Strip.

Activists' Tweets

Activists' comments on social media about Jordan's delivery of aid to Gaza varied, some of which were broadcast on the episode (2023/11/6) of the program "Shabakat".

Adham Abu Salmiya praised the Jordanian king's move, considering it "an appreciative step, and it is an opportunity as long as it is possible to have an Arab and Islamic air bridge under your leadership to relief Gaza, as the need is great, the suffering is pressuring, and the reality of all hospitals is no secret to you."

Majid addressed Alaa al-Mulk, "God bless you, but sir, we need more than this aid, children are being exterminated and hospitals are bombed and helpless..".

Sharif advised anyone who bids on the Jordanian people and government to review themselves "by order of the king, in open defiance of the petty entity, and out of non-delay and withholding aid at the crossing. Jordanian aid reaches Gaza through airdrops in open defiance of the enemy."

Yasser al-Hassani also described the Jordanian move as "a good initiative... Let the rest of the countries drop aid despite the nose of the Zionist occupation."

This is the same view espoused by activist Yasser, who said, "The Jordanian army men are defying the cowardly Israeli army and carrying out a surprise airdrop of medical aid to the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza using parachutes."

According to Jordan, the military aircraft took off from Marka military airport carrying medical aid, crossed the Jordanian border and entered West Bank airspace through Israeli airspace, covering a distance of 155 kilometers.

The plane finally arrived in the Gaza Strip, dropped aid boxes on the hospital and returned to Jordan.

The Israel Broadcasting Corporation announced that "in full coordination with the Israeli army, a Jordanian aircraft dropped medical equipment and food products to the Jordanian hospital in Gaza, and the hospital will use this equipment for staff and patients."

The Jordanian field hospital in Gaza still provides its services in the Tel al-Hawa area in the northern Gaza Strip, although it was one of the first hospitals to receive Israeli warnings to evacuate and its surroundings were bombed more than once, but Jordan responded to the demands of the Ministry of Health in Gaza and kept the hospital and refused to evacuate it despite Israeli threats.
