It is tragic to witness the increasing death toll in the last week of the war, and it is impossible to imagine the suffering of civilians in the ongoing conflict between Gaza and Israel, especially since the greatest victims are children, women and the elderly, and the Palestinian death toll has exceeded ten thousand, and tens of thousands injured.

On the other hand, Israel announced that 1500,5 people were killed and <>,<> wounded, and the biggest concern of humanitarian organizations lies in the aerial bombardment by Israeli forces on the besieged Gaza Strip, which has caused the destruction of infrastructure, schools and hospitals, and the displacement of an unlimited number of civilians and leaving them homeless.

The extreme civilian toll of Israel's killing machine contradicts Israel's claim to self-defense, which is widely criticized as justification for ongoing breaches of the 1949 Geneva Conventions.
Here, an urgent question arises — and it is being asked at various levels — what is the sufficient civilian death toll that calls for an end to the war?

Statements that consider Gazans "human animals" sound the alarm and cannot be accepted, and what compounds panic and panic is the fact that an international official authorizes "merciless killing", which means wanting to crush anyone who is unarmed and has no means of defending himself.

For 16 years, innocent Palestinians have been living in a place besieged by concrete walls and barbed wire in the open prison of the Gaza Strip, where millions of Palestinians have been denied their basic rights to a luxurious life for the inhabitants of Israel's apartheid regime.

There is no doubt that it has been the continuous provocations of the right-wing Government of Israel over the past few months that have triggered tensions with Gaza, and the aim of creating tension is to threaten and terrorize the Palestinian people.

As this terror grows and continues in the coming days, there is an urgent need for all parties, including the world's major international powers, to intervene, to unite efforts for a ceasefire and to de-escalate the entire region.

It is also important not to allow the conflict to spread to the entire region, hence Malaysia reiterates its urgent calls for an immediate cessation of the conflict with unequivocal condemnation of the ongoing aggression of the Israeli entity.
But it is very unfortunate that some forces are still deafening their ears, in painful hypocrisy of the human rights principles that they claim to defend, as no one can claim to defend human rights while closing their eyes to the massacre of Palestinians.
Through a series of phone calls and face-to-face meetings, I spoke with a number of my counterparts and agreed on the need to address the issue urgently.
In its emergency meeting to discuss the violent conflict and escalating tension, the OIC strongly condemned the unprecedented Israeli aggression against Palestinian civilians, and as a member of the OIC, Malaysia supported the final statement stressing the cessation of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, the end of the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip, and called on the international community to enable urgent humanitarian assistance to reach the Palestinian people.

In the same context, Malaysia called on the international community to take firm action to prevent further aggression and aggression, and called on the United Nations Security Council to assume the responsibilities entrusted to it in the Charter of the United Nations, which include the maintenance of international peace and security.

Malaysia, under the leadership of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, will continue to stress the paramount importance of peace and the establishment of a safe and unhindered passage to urgently address the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, and the Prime Minister used the opportunity of the ASEAN-GCC Summit in Riyadh to discuss developments in the conflict in Gaza with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, including efforts to de-escalate tensions and ensure the security and safety of civilians.

Taking into account the place that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia enjoys in the Islamic world and its profound impact on the Palestinian cause, this firm position meets the humanitarian situation on the ground.
Therefore, through diplomatic efforts, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim continued discussions with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and discussed joint efforts to reach a radical solution to the troubling conflict, and in Cairo the Prime Minister's talks with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi focused on efforts to cease hostilities and open a humanitarian corridor to deliver humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza through the Rafah border crossing.

At this critical juncture, Malaysia expresses its readiness to provide and transport urgent humanitarian assistance through organized international efforts, particularly with regard to food and medical supplies, and these efforts reflect Malaysia's unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause and to alleviating the tragedy and ongoing plight of the Palestinian people, which is a direct result of the 75-year-old policies of displacement pursued by the Israeli entity.

As the ordeal continues, Malaysia has a duty to awaken the conscience of peoples who believe in the values of justice, humanity, freedom, love and harmony, and to continue to seek a peaceful solution to the decades-old conflict.

Thirty years after the signing of the Oslo Accords, it was deeply regrettable that the continued attacks on the Palestinians, the confiscation of their land and their expulsion from their homeland had impeded a possible solution, and Malaysia would therefore remain steadfast in its position in support of the inalienable right of the Palestinians to self-determination, in line with the principled position that the Palestinian people deserved to live in an independent State with internationally recognized borders, before 30, with Jerusalem as its capital.
