Last month, a teacher at a metropolitan high school who was on a school trip found that he had lost documents containing personal information such as the names and mobile phone numbers of more than 300 students.

This was announced by the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education on the 6th.

According to the report, at the end of last month, a teacher at Tokyo Metropolitan Koiwa High School was leading students on a school trip and lost documents containing the names of 356 students and personal information such as mobile phone numbers of 330 of them.

It is said that the materials containing personal information were carried by this teacher and other accompanying teachers as contact information in case of an emergency, such as when a student got lost.

Earlier this month, the school provided an explanation and apology to students and parents, which means that so far there has been no information on leakage of personal information to third parties or damage.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education will inform all metropolitan schools of measures such as not taking out materials that summarize personal information such as mobile phone numbers and only managers who possess materials.
