Scene with Martin Brambach (left) and Karin Hanczewski: "His death was just the flaw in the system"

In the beginning, the investigators still believed that the murder was a relationship crime. A young artist appeared to have stabbed her boyfriend to death while intoxicated. Later, Gorniak (Karin Hanczewski) and Winkler (Cornelia Gröschel) were led onto a second lead: a man wearing a mask entered women's apartments and knocked them out with knockout drops and then raped them. His victims were left with only a vague fear, but no concrete memory of the crime. Thus, the aggressor could not be convicted for a long time.

As it turned out in the end, the young artist had actually stabbed her boyfriend to death – as a result of the trauma that the rape had left on her. "If Sarah hadn't stabbed David, we would never have caught the perpetrator," was the bitter summary of one of the investigators. "His death was just the flaw in the system."

In our review, we wrote: "Relationship drama? Stalker thriller? Home invasion thriller? This ›Tatort‹ shifts the focus to the action several times – until it finally ends up with the genre in which the Dresden team obviously feels most comfortable: the classic fear-monger, in which a woman-hating psychopath drives the investigators in front of him.«

We gave it 7 out of 10. What is your opinion?

Actress Hanczewski is now saying goodbye to the hamster wheel of cruelty: In May, she announced her farewell to Dresden's »Tatort«. However, two more cases with her will be seen before that. Her 18th and final episode as Inspector Gorniak has already been filmed: It is titled "Heart of Darkness" and is set among high school graduates. The film will air in early 2025.
