Israeli reserve generals and former officials agreed that Israel faces a major problem of distrust of the army following the events of October 7, referring to Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.

In this context, lawyer Roytal Sweid, a former member of the Knesset, said that Israel received a major blow on October 2023, <>, and one of its most prominent results is the loss of confidence in the army, which was not present during the critical hours, "We received a very strong and difficult blow."

She added that when we start a war, everyone should know that it will be long, that it will have a high price, and "we have to realize that we live in a very difficult place in the Middle East forest, but we have to prove to everyone that we are tigers and not cats in this forest."

Moshe Shenoski, former director of Radio Ghali, spoke about the state of terror gripping the residents of the Gaza periphery, saying, "If someone thinks that the fact that one terrorist stays in Gaza will prevent me from living in the Gaza envelope, it means that Hamas has won."

He went on to assert that talking about no "terrorists" remaining in the north or south is impractical, and frightened people cannot be forced to return to their places of residence in the north and south, and if that happens, Hamas will have won.

The Israeli media also highlighted an incident that occurred at 11 pm with an army general who was on his way to a warehouse in the Gaza envelope, but the soldiers stopped him and told him that they wanted to obtain permission for him to pass, but the general, who was in a hurry, refused to obey the soldiers' request, and tried to continue walking in his military car, so one of the soldiers only confronted his car, and fired shots in the air, but the general insisted on moving forward, and shouted asked the soldiers to get out of his way.

According to the Israeli media, the army leaders vowed to open an investigation into the incident after the end of the war, and former officials and military personnel considered that the incident indicates the high state of tension in Israel and in the military institution.
