A contest for videos and other art works created using AI was held in Akihabara, Tokyo, and the work of a man from Tokyo who depicted 23 different alter egos and avatars was selected as the grand prize.

The AI Art Grand Prix, now in its second year, was held by an executive committee made up of CG creators, AI researchers, and other volunteers, and received 2 entries for videos and games created using AI.

At the final judging meeting held in Akihabara, Tokyo on the 124th, the 4 creators who passed the selection presented their intentions and production process.

As a result, the Grand Prize was awarded to Tokyo-based artist Kaitei Kiyu, whose work "Tomorrow's Avatarization."

This work is a video that expresses a world where anyone can transform freely using AI, and 10 avatars such as a long-haired blonde woman and a scientist appear, but all the original images are Kaitei Kiyu and himself.

By having the AI read and convert images of blankets over the head and hangers and cords wrapped around the head, it is interesting to be able to transform into a completely different version of yourself, such as a long-haired woman, and the concern that anyone can impersonate you.

The Grand Prize winner, Mr. Kaitei Kiyu, said, "I was an ordinary office worker, and the word AI did not come up, and fax machines are in my workplace, so I never thought that such a day would come. The theme of this year's recruitment was 'tomorrow,' but AI brought me to a tomorrow that I never imagined."
