On the eve of the anniversary of the death of Minako Honda, who died of leukemia 18 years ago as a singer and musical theater actor, a special exhibition was held at a facility in Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture, where costumes and other items are exhibited, and many fans and others visited.

Minako Honda, who was active as a singer and musical theater actor, died in 2005 at the age of 38 due to acute myeloid leukemia.

Five years ago, in Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture, where Mr. Honda lived for many years, the "Minako Honda Museum" was opened to tell about her activities, and a special opening was held on the 5th before the anniversary of her death on the 6th.

In addition to a corner that recreates Mr. Honda's dressing room, which he has appeared in many musicals, the facility also exhibited costumes that could not be worn on stage, and visitors were eager to look at them.

In addition, in the museum, cooperation in efforts to support people with leukemia and intractable diseases was called for, carrying on Mr. Honda's legacy.

A woman in her 40s from Tokyo, who is a long-time fan, said, "It's a storm of emotion, and I'm glad to feel close to Mr. Honda."

Director Dai Hamada said, "Many people from all over the country will come to the special opening, and I would be happy if many people could hear Minako's message."
