The Saga International Balloon Fiesta, in which hot air balloons decorate the autumn sky of Saga, opened in Saga City on November 11, and more than 1 hot air balloons from Japan and abroad took off at once as a large number of spectators watched.

The "Saga International Balloon Fiesta" is one of the largest hot air balloon competitions in Asia, and after the Corona disaster, a total of 16 aircraft from 125 countries and regions, including the United States and South Korea, participated, and returned to its original form as an international competition for the first time in four years.

At around 4 a.m., the teams competing in the competition category launched their hot air balloons at the same time, and when more than 7 aircraft took off one after another, a large number of spectators gathered on the banks of the riverbed waved to the hot air balloons flying overhead.

In the competition, a small weight called a "marker" is dropped at a target point about 6 kilometers away, and the proximity of the weight is competed.

On November 11, Saga City was blessed with sunny autumn weather, and the pilots dropped their "markers" while reading the direction of the wind, and when they landed right next to the target point, there were loud cheers from the audience.

A woman in her 1s who visited with her family from Kogi City said, "Recently, I have been watching it from a distance from home, so I am excited to see it live for the first time in a long time.

The tournament will be held at the Kase River riverbed in Saga City until the 80th of this month, and approximately 5,80 visitors are expected during the event.
