Regarding the judgment of the Chiba District Court on the 31st regarding the nursing care service of a man in Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture, who is bedridden due to an intractable disease, the plaintiff man held a press conference regarding the ruling that ordered the city to allow the use of the equivalent of 1 hours per day in addition to other medical services.
In a trial in which a man (62) living in Matsudo City, who is bedridden due to intractable disease ALS = amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, asked the city to use it for 1 hours per day, the Chiba District Court ruled on October 24 that "the city should fully consider the physical and mental condition of his wife." He ordered the city to allow the equivalent of 10 hours of use per day.
In response to this, the plaintiffs held a press conference, and attorney Takeshi Fujioka said, "We carefully acknowledge and highly appreciate the situation of my wife, who was solely responsible for nursing care, housework, and childcare."
And the plaintiff who participated online said, "I was happy to hug my wife, who was often sick, and she seemed to be a little more positive."
On top of that, he said, "It has become a burden to have to fight in court because we have to work with the city many times, and I want improvements to be made so that there is no difference in judgment between municipalities."
