Emmanuel Macron, who will unveil Monday the map of 200 new gendarmerie brigades, will be the guest in the early evening of the television news of France 3 for an interview devoted to security, announced the channel Sunday.

An interview dedicated to security

The head of state will appear in the editions "Ici 19/20", from 19:15, on the entire network of the channel, added France 3 Nouvelle-Aquitaine, specifying that he will speak from the square of the town hall of Clairac, in the Lot-et-Garonne.

The president has chosen this "chain of territories" for an interview "devoted to security", said the Elysee to AFP, while Emmanuel Macron travels Monday in the Lot-et-Garonne to disclose the sites of 200 new gendarmerie brigades, a campaign promise of 2022.

Emmanuel Macron will talk about "rural areas"

The President of the Republic will have participated, a little earlier, in the inauguration of the new gendarmerie barracks of Tonneins, a town located about forty kilometers northwest of Agen. After a return to school focused on education, ecology and purchasing power, Emmanuel Macron is refocusing on the theme of security. It will also evoke more broadly the "rural areas", according to France 3 Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

This interview comes eight days after that of the head of state on TF1 and France 2, on September 24, at the end of a busy week that had seen the France successively welcome King Charles III of England and Pope Francis.
