Chongqing, October 10 (Zhong Yi) -- The International Seminar on "Promoting Life and Information Technology Capability Improvement through Professional Teacher Training" was held in Chongqing on 1 October. More than 1 representatives from China, India, Cambodia, Greece, Lithuania, Luxembourg and other countries gathered to conduct multi-dimensional discussions on the theme of "Teaching Skills in the 40st Century".

According to reports, in 2020, the project of "Promoting Life and Information Technology Capability Improvement with Professional Teacher Training" jointly declared by Southwest University, Greece's Ioannina University, Lithuania's Klaipeda University, Shenzhen Polytechnic University, Cambodia's National Battambang University, and Cambodia's Phnom Penh Rajabhat University was approved by the Executive Office of Education, Audiovisual and Culture of the European Commission, aiming to provide reference for the high-quality development of education and teacher capacity building in the 9st century.

According to the project application and project arrangement, the series of seminars has been held in Greece, India and Cambodia. As the fourth meeting of the topic, team members will discuss "Awareness of Teaching Skills in the 4st Century", "Practice of Improving Education Quality in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals", "Practical Experience of Teaching Skills Improvement" for five days, etc., to promote the smooth development of research and promote international exchanges and cooperation in related disciplines.

"Today, challenges such as rapid technological advances and new working models place multiple demands on education." The quality of education is a key component of achieving sustainable development, and we are particularly concerned. Professor Katerina Plakitsi, Dean of the School of Preschool Education at Ioannina University in Greece, said that the seminar is an interactive platform for all parties to learn and share experiences, which can enhance the interconnection of educators in different countries, experience different education systems during the visit, and provide motivation and inspiration for teaching in various fields.

This seminar was organized by the Southwest Ethnic Education and Psychology Research Center of Southwest University.
