What happened on Naples' official account on the TikTok platform is not acceptable " explained Roberto Calenda on X (ex-Twitter). "A video mocking Victor was first posted and then it was deleted. This is a serious fact that causes very significant damage to the player and adds to the treatment he has undergone lately between criticism in the media and fake news, "continued the agent. "We reserve the right to take legal action and take any action to protect Victor," he concluded.

A mixed start to the season

This post on TikTok showed the penalty attempt missed by Osimhen against Bologna (0-0) Sunday, September 24, as part of the 5th day of the Italian Championship, commented by a high-pitched voice saying "Give me penalty please".

Top scorer in Serie A last season, Osimhen, 24, knows like his club, reigning Italian champions now coached by Frenchman Rudi Garcia, a mixed start to the season.

He had expressed to his coach his frustration when he was replaced at the end of the match against Bologna, blaming him for his tactical choices by making gesture 2, for two players in point, instead of one. About Osimhen's behaviour after his replacement, the former Lille coach said he "spoke to him after the game, but it remains between us, in the team".

Captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo said Osimhen's reaction to his replacement was "unnecessary". The Nigerian international, who became an idol at Napoli, was in his 3rd game in a row without a goal scored.

Osimhen, who joined Napoli from Lille in 2020, was coveted this summer by big names in European football, including Chelsea and Manchester United, but Napoli president and owner Aurelio De Laurentiis vetoed and met with his agent several times to get him to extend his contract.

Napoli, 7th in Serie A, seven lengths behind the leader, Inter, receives Udinese, this Wednesday, September 27 as part of the 6th matchday.
